Rental Requirements

Driver Requirements

To rent a vehicle from Ingab Ponta, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age (25 for luxury vehicles)
  • Hold a valid full driving license for at least 2 years
  • Provide valid identification (passport or national ID)
  • Have a valid credit card in your name
  • Meet our insurance requirements
  • Pass any additional checks we may require

Acceptable Licenses

Restricted Drivers

We may refuse rental to drivers who:

Driver Responsibilities

  • Vehicle security and theft prevention
  • Reporting accidents or damage immediately
  • Following all traffic laws and regulations
  • Ensuring only authorized drivers operate the vehicle

Insurance and Liability

Standard Coverage

All rentals include:

  • Third Party Liability Insurance (minimum legal requirement)
  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with excess
  • Theft Protection with excess
  • Fire Damage Coverage

Optional Coverage

Additional protection available:

  • Super Collision Damage Waiver (reduces excess to zero)
  • Personal Accident Insurance
  • Personal Effects Coverage
  • Tyre and Glass Protection

Excess and Liability

  • Standard excess applies to damage and theft claims
  • Excess amounts vary by vehicle category
  • You remain liable for damage not covered by insurance
  • Negligent or reckless damage may void coverage

Rental Period and Returns

Pickup and Return

  • Vehicles must be collected during business hours
  • Late pickups may result in rate adjustments
  • Returns must be to the agreed location
  • Out-of-hours returns available with prior arrangement

Late Returns

  • Grace period of 1 hour for returns
  • Additional day charges apply for late returns
  • Extended rentals require prior authorization
  • Failure to return may be reported as theft

Early Returns

  • No refunds for early returns on daily rates
  • Weekly/monthly rates may be adjusted
  • Minimum rental charges may apply

Damage and Accidents

Immediate Obligations

In case of accident or damage, you must:

  • Ensure safety and call emergency services if needed

  • Complete our incident report form
  • Not admit liability or make agreements with third parties
  • Provide all requested documentation

Damage Assessment

Theft and Loss

  • Report theft to police immediately

  • All keys must be provided (loss may void coverage)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Customer

  • 48+ hours before pickup: Full refund
  • 24-48 hours before pickup: 50% cancellation fee
  • Less than 24 hours: 100% cancellation fee
  • No-show: Full rental charge applies

Cancellation by Ingab Ponta

We may cancel reservations due to:

  • Vehicle unavailability due to accident or breakdown
  • Failure to meet rental requirements
  • Fraudulent booking information
  • Force majeure events

In such cases, we will provide full refund or alternative vehicle if available.

Modifications

  • Booking modifications subject to availability
  • Rate differences may apply
  • Modifications within 24 hours may incur charges

Termination of Rental

We reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement and repossess the vehicle if:

  • You violate any terms of this agreement
  • You provide false or misleading information
  • Payment is refused or reversed
  • You use the vehicle for prohibited purposes
  • The vehicle poses a safety risk
  • You are arrested or charged with a serious offense

Termination does not relieve you of liability for charges incurred up to termination.

We encourage resolution of disputes through:

Legal Jurisdiction
